Artist's Comments

Once upon a time someone decided to picspam an LJ comm with photos of Brian Williams. The very last photo was of him in 1930s getup, and soon jokes started passing around about seeing the LJ comm's beloved news pundits, news anchors, fake news anchors, and fake pundits in the same sort of getup. I decided to take up the challenge.

...and it is FUN.

I have never done any sort of artwork that focuses on a distinct period of time (fantasy does not count). I also haven't drawn in quite a bit, so this really was refreshing.

Anyways, this is a WIP. I want to throw in some color and add in more people. But for now, clockwise from the upper left hand corner:

Anderson Cooper (CNN), Brian Williams (NBC), Rachel Maddow (MSNBC), Stephen Colbert (CC), and Jon Stewart (CC).

I am FLAILING! The first Rachel picture was amazing, but oh my God, her pose (and pants)! And Jon speaking vehemently into the microphone, Stephen leering(!) from his chair, BriWi looking important, contrasting wonderfully with Anderson's shy hat-tip.

The guys and girls in the 1930's... Guh, this is too awesome:D
